Valentina Mortarotti was born in Torino on December 4th 1974 from a historical Italian family. She graduated from the Ada Gobetti Marchesini Institute in 1994 as a Chemical - Biology Laboratory Technician. After pursuing a career in her field, working for an international cosmetic company, she decided that it was not her true ambition. Having always had an passion for food and wine she attended several cooking courses and wine tasting lessons in her region and throughout Italy. She also loved to travel especially to the United States where she perfected her already fluent English. She was amazed by the American culture, their friendliness and their appreciation for art and love of Italy. With a couple of friends in 1999 she decided to change her line of work completely and start a travel agency specializing in Italian travel for an American clientele. Her true calling became organizing trips from the selection of hotels to the creation of interesting itineraries, finding excellent guides, drivers and activities to propose the Italy that she loves and all that it has to offer. From a simple idea the agency was born and Valentina found her perfect job. In June of 2007 despite of the success that she had with her friends, she decided to open up a company on her own, Charming Italian Travel by Valentina Mortarotti, in order to unspoil her vision of organizing each trip by paying personal attention to all the details and being able to ensure her philosophy from start to finish. Her aim is to create the best possible journey for each individual client by hand picking all the venues and people she collaborates with, in order in satisfy her clients request. In her modesty, she credits her team as being her success since they speak a perfect English and are not only very knowledgeable but adorable with clients, as she puts it, but that it is also her secret and that's what comes through when clients experience Italy through Charming Italian Travel by Valentina Mortarotti.
