Villa Beccaris is an old house of the 18th century, where once lived the General Bava Beccaris, and from whom it inherited the name. Then the house remained inhabited for a while and it was bought in 1996 by a society of friends fond of art and owners of four well-known local firms.
The repairs began immediately with the aim to create a place comfortable like a home and full of historical glamour. In September 1997 the hotel opened its doors to the public.
The house philosophy is to take care of the guests…that is why our guests become more and more faithful. With some of them there is something like a familiar tie.
The principal body of the Villa includes 23 rooms: one Suite “La Romantica”, eleven Deluxe rooms and eleven Classic rooms. Each room is unique and the elegance is shown in the attention to the details, with the purpose to understand the wishes of the guests.
Every morning in the Auditorium Cafè, a rich breakfast buffet is ready from 8 to 11 am to satisfy every kind of taste with sweet and salty specialities!
From May to September it is a pleasure to relax in the garden that embrace the open-air swimming pool of the Villa and from which the two panoramic terraces show the landscape of the Langhe in all their beauty. In every season you can taste the best Piedmontease wines choosing directly the bottles you prefer in the wine library of Villa Beccaris: “Enoteca L’Infernot”, or visiting the many typical wine cellars of the area. Near the Enoteca L’Infernot you can find the old cellar of the House, an ideal place for meetings or parties or musical aperitifs.
The Hotel offers also a covered garage where there is a free parking place for every guest.
The House is located in a dominant position on the top of a hill, but at the same time in a few minutes you can reach the historical centre of Monforte d’Alba and the many particular and typical restaurants and “trattorie”.
LOCANDA DEL SANT' UFFIZIO
The Locanda del Sant’Uffizio is a charming relais di charme deep in the heart of the Monferrato district, a hilly region renowed for the quality of its gastronomic and wine-producting traditions.
